How many people can I register?

You can only register yourself with Studentenwoningweb. It is not possible to register together with a friend.

Why do I need to register?

On Studentenwoningweb.nl you will find student accommodation from De Key, Stadgenoot, Ymere and Pré Wonen. These housing corporations offer accommodations  in Amsterdam, Diemen and Haarlem. 

If you want to apply for student accommodation you will need to register first. As soon as you register you will start accumulating waiting time. The longer your waiting time, the greater your chance of finding student accommodation.

What are the conditions for registration?
  • You have to be 16 years old or over to register;
  • Registration costs € 22.50 (price level 2018) and is valid for eight years;
  • You can only apply for accommodations in your place of study.

Please note: it is only useful to register if you are a current or prospective student in Amsterdam, Diemen of Haarlem.

What does registration cost?

Registration costs € 22.50 (price level 2018) and is valid for eight years. You can pay with iDEAL or your credit card.

Can I register if I live abroad?

Yes, you can. Enter you country first and then your address.

I cannot register through the Studentenwoningweb website

There may be several reasons why you are unable to register: 

  • You have a twin brother or sister who is registered with Studentenwoningweb. Please contact the Customer Contact Centre: 0900 040 07 46 (standard call charges apply);
  • There is another person with the same surname and date of birth. Please contact the Customer Contact Centre: 0900 040 07 46 (standard call charges apply);
  • You are already registered with Studentenwoningweb. Request your registration details via the Customer Contact Centre.

How can I modify my registration details?

You can modify most of your details via the website. You can see your registration details and modify them when you log in to the site.

The following details cannot be modified via the website:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Sex
  • Registration date
  • Priority scheme

If you have made a mistake when filling in your name, date of birth or sex, please send an e-mail requesting that the information be modified and a copy of your proof of identity to the Customer Contact Centre
The registration date cannot be modified. The registration date is always the date on which your payment was processed.
The priority scheme is automatically linked to your registration on the basis of your registration details.

When will I be deregistered?

You registration will end:

  • if you fail to activate your registration within three months;
  • if you end it yourself;
  • at the end of the registration term of eight years.

I have lost my registration number and/or password. How do I retrieve this?

Registration number
You can send an email to Studentenwoningweb via the contact form. We will send you a proof of registration, which contains your registration number, as soon as possible.

Password
Click on the Forgot your password? link, on the login page. After you have entered your email address or registration number, you will receive an email containing a link through which you can create a new password. It is not possible to reclaim your old password.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else’s name?

No, a registration number is personal and cannot be transferred to someone else’s name.
