Student accommodation in the Amsterdam City Region, Delft, Deventer, The Hague, Leiden, Wageningen and Zuid-Kennemerland is allocated on the basis of availability, whereby anyone registered can apply for an available accommodation. The available accommodation can be viewed under Available accommodation. Here you can view the details of accommodation and apply for it if you are logged in.
At the end of the application period the applications are ranked by waiting time: the longer you have been registered, the higher you will be in the ranking. If you can claim priority through a priority scheme your ranking will be higher. The highest ranking applicant will be offered the accommodation.
There are various schemes that give priority for student accommodation. These schemes vary per education institution and accommodation.
When you log in you will be able to see your chance of success (very high, high, average, low or very low) next to each accommodation advertisement.
You start building up waiting time from the day your registration is paid via iDEAL or credit card. If you pay the registration fee a few days later then that will automatically become your registration date.
If you start another study in one of Studentenwoningweb or DUWO’s cities (Amsterdam City Region, Delft, Deventer, The Hague, Leiden, Wageningen or Zuid-Kennemerland), your registration and waiting time will remain unaffected. You can apply for student accommodation in your new place of study as soon as you are registered for your new study programme.
Before you can apply, you need to modify your education details at My account.
